Uluwatu Markets: Weekend, Daily & Local Compared
Which Uluwatu market fits you? Compare the Hatch weekend market, daily stall markets and the local produce market, with timing, access and haggling tips.

Last updated November 2026: Uluwatu markets come in three types, because the Bukit has no single big central market. You can browse a weekend vendor market at Hatch, wander daily stalls at Camden Market, or shop for produce at Pasar Ampera in Ungasan. Pick by what you want to buy and what time of day suits you.

Quick Answer: What Markets Does Uluwatu Have?

Uluwatu is not a classic Bali bargain bazaar. Shopping is spread across Pecatu, Ungasan and the cliff-top area, so each market serves a different purpose.
First-time visitors who want a relaxed browse with food and music should start with the Sundaze weekend market at Hatch. Anyone after sarongs, sandals and quick souvenirs on any day of the week should try Camden Market. Travelers who want to see daily local life should go early to Pasar Ampera. For boutiques and designer shops, head to our Uluwatu shopping guide instead.
Uluwatu Markets Compared

This table sorts the three market types by what matters when you plan a day. Where we could not confirm a detail, it says to check locally.
| Market | Best for | When | Bargaining | Kid-friendly | Effort to reach |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sundaze at Hatch | Handcrafted goods, art, food and live music | Weekends; confirm the current schedule | Check locally | Yes, there is a kids corner | Needs a ride or scooter along Jalan Labuansait |
| Camden Market | T-shirts, sarongs, sunglasses, sandals, souvenirs | Daily; hours not confirmed, check locally | Expected, keep it friendly | Easy stop | On Jalan Labuansait |
| Pasar Ampera | Produce, spices, coconuts, meat and fish | Busiest early in the day | Check locally | Better for curious older kids | Separate trip to Ungasan |
Sundaze Market at Hatch
Sundaze is held at Hatch Uluwatu, at Jl. Labuansait No.54 in Pecatu. It works more like a weekend event than a traditional market. Vendors sell handcrafted goods and art from regional sellers, and the setting adds live music, a BBQ and a kids corner.
One event listing gives Saturday 9 AM to 4 PM and Sunday 9 AM to 6 PM. A search snippet from July 2025 shows Sundays from 11:00 to 18:00. Those sources disagree, so treat any schedule as subject to change. Check Hatch's latest social posts before you go.
Vendors change regularly, so stock differs from visit to visit. Families get an easy win here. Pair it with lunch using our Uluwatu food guide.
Camden Market on Jalan Labuansait
Camden, listed as HB Art Market Camden Uluwatu, is a permanent open-air market on Jalan Labuansait. Expect about 50 stalls selling T-shirts, sarongs, sunglasses, sandals, art, jewellery and souvenirs. It operates daily, so you do not need to build a plan around a weekend date.
Camden's about 50 stalls make it a quick browse on any day, unlike Sundaze, which only runs on weekends.
Prices are not fixed, and friendly bargaining is part of the visit. We found no confirmed opening hours, so check on the day if you are on a tight schedule. Pecatu is the surrounding area, and our 7 Things to Do in Pecatu, Bali: Temple, Beaches and Beyond page covers what else sits nearby.
Pasar Ampera in Ungasan
Pasar Ampera is a traditional local market in Ungasan. Stalls sell fruit, vegetables, spices, coconuts, meat and fish. Locals shop here, so it is busiest early. Prices run well below those at tourist markets and boutiques.
Time is the main rule. Go in the morning, not at midday, when the best produce is gone. We found no confirmed hours, so ask your accommodation or driver. It suits self-caterers and curious travelers more than souvenir hunters.
How to Get There and Plan Your Time
Jalan Labuansait is long, busy and hot, so do not plan to walk it end to end. Use a ride or a scooter between stops, then explore on foot once you arrive. Our getting around Uluwatu guide compares the options.
If you ride yourself, read Uluwatu scooter rental tips first. Carrying market bags on a scooter is awkward. Bring small cash, since we could not confirm card acceptance at stalls.
Plan market visits around heat and rain. Check the BMKG weather forecast before outdoor stops. Our Best Time to Visit Uluwatu: Month-by-Month Guide page explains the seasons. For wet days, see rainy day options.
Pair a morning market with a beach stop or café lunch. Browsing is free, so it also fits a free Uluwatu day.
What to Buy and Haggling Tips
Light items travel best. Sarongs, jewellery, small art pieces and packaged spices fit a suitcase easily. Large ceramics or wooden pieces are awkward to carry home.
At Camden, start lower than the first price, stay friendly, and walk away politely if you disagree. Do not bargain at Pasar Ampera for the sake of it. Locals buy daily goods there, and prices are already modest. For designer and boutique shopping, browse our Uluwatu cafés for a rest stop between shops.
