Last updated November 2026: our research found no confirmed, dedicated Amed night market, so this guide covers the evening food that does exist. Amed is a string of fishing villages and beaches on one coastal road in Karangasem, east Bali, not a walkable town Centre. For drinks and music after dinner, see our Amed after-dark guide.

Is There a Night Market in Amed?

We could not confirm a regular night market, food-stall cluster or weekly event in Amed. No source we checked names one, so we will not invent a name, schedule or vendor list. Plan for night-market-style eating instead: warung, small roadside stalls and resort restaurants.

  • What exists: warung and small food stops along the coast road, plus hotel and dive-resort restaurants.
  • What is unconfirmed: any recurring night market, its days, hours or prices.
  • Best fit: travellers happy to eat simply near where they sleep.
  • Not a fit: anyone who needs a large, browsable market with dozens of stalls.

What Evening Eating in Amed Looks Like

Evening food here is spread out along the road between villages. Bunutan, Lipah, Jemeluk, Selang and Aas are names to check locally, and we have not verified any stall in them. Ask your host which warung is open tonight, because opening times are not published anywhere we could verify. For a sit-down dinner, our Amed restaurant picks are a better starting point than a market hunt.

Night Market Alternatives: Compare Your Options

Each option trades effort against variety. We use qualitative cost tiers because no prices are sourced. Beach-side tables are covered in our Amed beaches guide.

Nearest Verified Night Markets and Local Markets

We have not verified a night market near Amed. Amlapura and the wider Karangasem area are the places to ask about, and you should confirm days, hours and the return ride first. Generic Bali guides say night markets open around 5 PM, but that is not confirmed for Amed or Karangasem. Check the Bali Tourism Board site or ask your accommodation before committing. Many Balinese markets trade in the early morning instead, which may suit you better. Our Amed day trip ideas show how to build a market stop into daylight hours.

Getting Around Amed After Dark

Scooter, hired driver and walking within one village strip are the realistic choices. We could not verify ride-hailing coverage in Amed, so arrange the return ride before you leave.

Good to know

Generic guides say markets open around 5 PM, so agree your return ride before you set out.

  • Walking: fine within one village strip if your stay is close to a warung.
  • Scooter: flexible, but the coast road is unlit in places, so take general caution.
  • Driver or taxi: best for any trip beyond Amed; agree the pickup time up front.
  • Staying close to food: see Where to Stay in Amed: 5 Best Areas by Traveler Type.

What to Eat: Balinese Dishes to Look For

Nasi campur, Sate lilit, grilled fish and pisang goreng are common across Bali. We have not confirmed which of them any Amed warung serves tonight. Babi guling is common in Bali's Hindu-majority culture, so pork-free or halal travellers should ask before ordering. Vegetarians can usually ask for tofu, tempeh and vegetable plates, though availability is not verified for Amed.

Money, Cash and Practical Tips

We found no verified information on card acceptance or ATM locations in Amed. Carry cash from a bank branch or ATM before you head out, and confirm current details through Indonesia Travel. Choose busy stalls with fresh food, and be cautious with ice and tap water.

Rain and temple ceremonies can change evening trade, and we have no verified calendar for Amed. Check forecasts with BMKG and read our Amed weather guide before you pick an evening.

Who Should Skip the Trip

Do not build a whole evening around a market that may not run. If you have only one or two nights, eat in Amed and save market hunting for a daytime outing. Anyone without a confirmed ride back should stay put. Wondering whether the area suits your style of trip? Read whether Amed is worth visiting.
