Last updated November 2026: Bali clubs fall into two types, late-night nightclubs and daytime beach or pool clubs. Kuta is cheap and rowdy, Seminyak and Petitenget are dressy, Canggu leans expat and underground, and Uluwatu offers cliff-top sunsets. Road hops between these areas run 15 to 30 minutes or more, so plan one area per night with help from our Bali planning guide.

Quick Answer: Which Bali Clubs Fit Which Area

Choose the area first and the venue second. Each area has a distinct crowd and dress feel, and mixing them in one night wastes hours in traffic. Venues in Bali open, close, and rebrand often, so confirm each name on its official page or Google listing before you go.

Kuta and Legian suit budget nights. LXXY on Jalan Legian is often free entry, with a Wednesday campus night and a Thursday ladies' night, according to one 2024 account. Boshe VVIP sits on Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai, about 10 minutes by taxi from Jalan Legian. It pairs live bands with a DJ and is busiest Wednesday to Saturday. Seminyak and Petitenget cost more and dress up. Canggu runs later and darker. Check each venue's own page before committing.

  • LXXY (Kuta, Jalan Legian): mainstream EDM. Suits budget groups. Skip it if you want a packed, polished room.
  • Boshe VVIP (Kuta, Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai): live band plus DJ. Suits groups who like Indonesian pop. Skip it if you dislike table-service rooms.
  • Shishi (Petitenget): three floors of Top 40, R&B, and EDM, with a Wednesday ladies' night. Skip it if smoke or high prices bother you.
  • Mirror (Jalan Petitenget): events Wednesday to Saturday from about midnight. Reported to bar sandals and shorts. Skip it if you dislike mainstream EDM.
  • Red Ruby (Jalan Petitenget): after-hours room, busiest after 2–3 am. It is closed and air-conditioned. Skip it if you want a holiday feel.
  • La Favela (Jalan Kayu Aya): a restaurant by day that livens up after about 11 pm. Its outdoor area helps escape smoke.
  • Atlas Super Club (Canggu, Jalan Berawa): a large EDM room with an upstairs table area. Skip it if you hate crowds.
  • Vault (Canggu, Tamora Gallery basement): techno and R&B, best after about 1 am. It has no windows and gets smoky.

Beach Clubs, Jungle Clubs, and Daytime Options

A day club beats a night club when you want sun, lower risk, and an early bedtime. Potato Head Beach Club in Seminyak and the beach bars around Old Man's in Canggu sit in this category. In Uluwatu, Savaya is pitched for cliff sunsets, daybeds, and international DJs. Jungle clubs with poolside daytime beats are a trending search, but confirm any venue before booking. Our guide to Bali Beaches: Which Coast Fits You (Swim, Surf, Sunset) helps you pair a sunset club with a swim. Prefer to stay on the water? Look at a Bali sailing trip instead.

Costs, Timing, and Cover Charges for Bali Clubs

Treat every price below as a single 2024 competitor report, not a verified rate. That guide put Atlas Super Club entry at about Rp150,000 on average, ranging from free to Rp300,000. It listed a table for 8 at roughly Rp5,000,000. Shishi was reported at about Rp2,500,000 for a table of 4, plus a Rp150,000 first-drink charge for men on ladies' night. For wider budgeting, see Bali on a Budget: Daily Costs, Areas & Saving Tips. Arriving too early means an empty room, so use the timing table.

Good to know

La Favela livens up after about 11 pm, a workable warm-up before Vault and Red Ruby, reported to peak after midnight.

Getting Home Safely After Bali Clubs

Plan the ride home before the first drink. Pre-book or have the app ready, and read our Grab in Bali guide for pickup tips. Some nightlife zones restrict app drivers, so verify the pickup point per area. Check coverage on the Grab Indonesia site. Never ride a rental motorbike after drinking. Our Bali scooter guide covers the risks. Staying near your chosen strip cuts the return distance and the late-ride cost. Want a calmer evening instead? Try a Balinese dance show or some quieter evening spots.

Tip

Boshe VVIP sits about 10 minutes by taxi from Jalan Legian, so line up the ride home before you leave.

Mistakes and Safety Notes

Most problems here are avoidable with planning. Indonesian drug laws are strict, so check your home government's travel advisory for current wording on drugs. Read the same advisory for warnings about methanol-tainted spirits, and watch your drink at all times. Carry ID or a passport copy, since entry rules and age limits are venue-specific. Think about a sunrise swim afterward? See our Bali Sunrise: Best Spots, Treks and Pre-Dawn Planning ideas.

  • Arriving too early: Vault, Red Ruby, and Mirror are reported to peak after midnight.
  • Mixing areas in one night: Kuta, Seminyak, and Canggu are 15–30+ minutes apart.
  • Riding after drinking: book a car or ride instead.
  • Trusting stale hours: confirm each venue is open on the day.
  • Ignoring dress rules: Mirror is reported to bar sandals and shorts.
