Last updated November 2026: Bandung bars fall into three groups, which are hotel rooftops, Dago highland view spots, and city bars around Braga and Pasir Kaliki. Rooftops suit sunset drinks, Dago suits cooler air and valley views, and the city bars suit later nights. For clubs and other late-night options beyond bars, use our broader guide.

Best Bars in Bandung at a Glance

Pick one area per night and you will spend less time in ride-hailing cars. Venue leads below come from public listings checked on 5 November 2026. Two of the main editorial sources are dated 2018 and 2024, so confirm each venue is open and serving alcohol before you go.

Rooftop and Sky Bars in Bandung

Rooftop bars in Bandung sit mostly on hotel towers, so they are the easiest first stop for visitors. Vesper Sky Bar & Lounge is listed at Jl. L.L.R.E. Martadinata No.68, and one 2024 guide places it atop Hotel De Paviljoen. The 18th Restaurant and Lounge is on the 18th floor of Trans Luxury Hotel. Akasa 360 Rooftop Bar is at Pullman Bandung Grand Central. Arrive before sunset for window seats, and expect smart-casual dress, which that 2024 guide reports for most rooftops.

  • Vesper Sky Bar & Lounge: best for sunset cocktails; skip if you want a cheap, casual beer.
  • The 18th Restaurant and Lounge: best for a dinner-then-drinks evening; skip if you only want a quick stop.
  • Akasa 360 Rooftop Bar: best for 360-degree city views; skip if you dislike hotel-lobby formality.
  • Bellevue 24 Hours French and Italian Bistro: best for wine with a late meal at G.H. Universal Hotel; confirm current hours first.

Dago and Highland Bars

Dago sits higher than the city Centre, so evenings feel cooler and the views open onto the valley. Golden Monkey is listed in Dago Highlands, with sofas, a long cocktail list, and food. Kepler Sky Lounge & Bar sits atop Swiss-Belresort Dago Heritage. Valley Bistro Café and The Parlor Hills are also listed in the Dago area, so verify whether each still serves alcohol. The trade-off is the ride home, because hillside pickups thin out late. Read the getting-home section below before you commit to a hilltop table.

Braga and City-Centre Bars

City bars suit travelers who want to walk between stops and stay out later. La Baraga Cafe is listed at Jl. Braga No.54, and modeled foot-traffic data suggests it tends to peak around 11 PM on Fridays. F3X Executive Club at Jl. Braga No.129 is listed as a club rather than a bar. Klas Tap Bar is at Jl. Sunda No.65. Over in Pasir Kaliki, Masterpiece Signature at No.183 tends to peak near 10 PM on Saturdays. Queen Rose Lounge is at No.16-18 on the same street, which makes a two-stop night easy. Treat these peak times as soft guidance, not a promise.

  • La Baraga Cafe: best for a Braga-area night; skip if you want quiet conversation on a Friday.
  • Masterpiece Signature: best for weekend energy; skip if crowds tire you.
  • Klas Tap Bar: best for casual beers; skip if you want a view.
  • F3X Executive Club: best for dancing; skip if you want a relaxed bar.

Which Bar Fits You

Match the venue to the situation, not the ranking. Couples should start with a hotel rooftop at sunset, such as Akasa 360 or The 18th. Groups do better at Golden Monkey in Dago Highlands, where seating is spacious and food is on the menu. Budget drinkers can head to Klas Tap Bar on Jl. Sunda. Solo travelers will find the city bars on Jl. Braga easier because help and rides are close. Non-drinkers have good options too. Try the view spots in our Bandung cafe picks or a stroll through the evening night market.

Getting There and Getting Home Safely

Ride-hailing through Gojek or Grab is the simplest way to reach any of these bars. City venues on Jl. Braga and Jl. Pasir Kaliki are easy to leave, because cars are usually nearby. Dago is harder. Typical stays are 2 to 4 hours at the Pasir Kaliki bars, so decide your return plan before you order a second round. Ask the venue or hotel to call a car before you leave a hillside table. Evenings in Bandung run cooler than the coast, and rain can slow pickups, so check the BMKG weather forecast before heading uphill. Keep your drink in sight and share your ride details with a friend.

Good to know

Typical stays are 2 to 4 hours at the Pasir Kaliki bars. Masterpiece Signature tends to peak near 10 PM on Saturdays, so long stays may hit the crowd.

Mistakes to Avoid

Most bad nights come from planning gaps rather than the bars themselves. Weekends bring Jakarta visitors, so see our guide on the best time to visit if you want quieter evenings.

  • Heading to a Dago hilltop bar with no ride booked back.
  • Skipping a reservation at a hotel rooftop on a weekend.
  • Assuming every café or eatery listed as a bar serves alcohol.
  • Trusting a 2018 or 2024 list without checking current status.
  • Mixing three areas in one night and losing an hour to traffic.

Planning Your Night

Sponsored

Pick one flow and keep the night inside a single area. For a rooftop evening, eat first, then arrive at Vesper or Akasa 360 before sunset. For a Dago evening, book a table at Golden Monkey and a return car. For a city evening, walk Jl. Braga from La Baraga Cafe at No.54 toward F3X at No.129. Dinner ideas are in our Bandung food guide. A slower start works with our picks of restaurants for a sit-down meal. For ideas away from the bar crowd, try quieter off-route evening spots. The hub page on 10 Best Things To Do in Bandung: Areas, Routes & Plans covers daytime plans.

Tip

Keep the night on Pasir Kaliki: Queen Rose Lounge at No.16-18 sits on the same street as Masterpiece Signature, so one area holds two stops.
