Nusa Dua Massage: Prices, Shuttles & How to Choose
Compare Nusa Dua massage options: listed price bands, hotel shuttle terms, Balinese vs deep tissue, and what to check before you book.
On this page
Last updated November 2026, and a Nusa Dua massage still runs from about IDR 200,000 for an hour at an independent spa to IDR 880,000 for 120 minutes at a premium one. Your three real options are an in-resort spa, an independent spa with a hotel shuttle, or a therapist who comes to your room. Every figure below is listed by each spa's own site, so confirm it before you book.

Nusa Dua massage at a glance
We'd split Nusa Dua massage into three routes. In-resort spas are the easiest, but our sources hold no resort rates, so ask your hotel directly. Independent spas list IDR 200,000–480,000 for an hour, and several offer a hotel shuttle. In-room call-out skips transport but carries conditions. Our pick for a first massage is a 60-minute Balinese, listed at IDR 230,000 by Nusa Dua Spa by Lily Treatment. Planning the rest of your stay? Start with our Nusa Dua day plans.

Types of massage compared
Pressure is the main decision. Balinese is gentle and flowing. Deep tissue is firmer and suits stiff shoulders, back or legs. Aromatherapy is lighter and scented. Foot reflexology is the shortest and cheapest commitment. After a beach day, we'd pick Balinese or aroma over deep tissue, and ask the therapist to adjust pressure on sunburned skin. Chi Massage & Luxury Spa lists an after-sun aloe enhancement at IDR 100,000 for a single add-on.

| Type | Feel | Pick this if… | Listed duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Balinese | Gentle, flowing | You want to switch off completely | 60 min (Lily); 60–120 min aroma (Chi) |
| Deep tissue | Firm, targeted | Shoulders, back or legs are properly stiff | 60 min (Lily) |
| Aromatherapy | Light, scented | You are sunburned or want something softer | 60, 90 or 120 min (Chi) |
| Foot reflexology | Focused, low commitment | You have under an hour | 60, 90 or 120 min (Chi) |
| Multi-hand | Synchronised, immersive | You want a splurge session | 60–120 min (Chi) |
| Couple package | Facial, scrub, mask, flower bath | Honeymoon or anniversary | 2.5 hours (Lily) |
What a Nusa Dua massage costs (listed prices)

Prices below are as listed by each spa, November 2026. Zahra Spa lists its menu per person, but not by duration. Lily's Bali's Heritage, a Balinese massage plus boreh scrub, runs 2 hours for IDR 450,000. Chi lists in thousands, so 480K means IDR 480,000. Longer sessions, extra therapists, add-ons and packages push the bill up. Chi's add-ons cost IDR 100,000 for one or IDR 150,000 for any two. Chi also says prices may change without notice. Resort spa rates are not in our sources, so check them with your hotel. For a free contrast, see our free Nusa Dua activities.

Free hotel shuttles and call-out: read the conditions
"Free transfer" has strings. Lily lists a shuttle for 2 or more guests, while one guest gets pick-up only. It names a 5 km radius and says main hotels are 2–10 minutes away. Chi offers complimentary transfers for selected treatments and selected areas only. Zahra advertises free hotel pick-up and drop-off. For other rides, see our Nusa Dua transport guide. Chi's in-room call-out costs the same as in-spa with no transport fee. It needs a 90-minute minimum, plus two guests for female or mixed-gender bookings.
In-room call-out at Chi needs a 90-minute minimum, which rules out the 60-minute foot reflexology option.

- Is my hotel inside the pick-up area?
- Does the return drop-off come with the ride?
- Does a solo traveler get both legs?
- Does my chosen treatment qualify?
How to choose a spa: an 8-point checklist

Spas lean on awards and review counts. Lily says it has 1,600+ Google reviews, and Zahra says it is #1 on Tripadvisor. We'd treat those as the spa's own claims. Read the newest reviews first, then the 3-star and 1-star ones. Zahra's page itself quotes a negative Google review about a cold room and hygiene, so reviews are mixed. Use the list below before you pay.
- Reviews: check recency and read the low scores.
- Nett price: ask whether tax and service are included.
- Hygiene: look for fresh linens and clean rooms.
- Room: ask about privacy and air-conditioning temperature.
- Oils: mention allergies before you start.
- Location: confirm the shuttle area or taxi cost.
- Cancellation: ask for the exact window.
- Payment: ask when and how you pay.

How to fit a massage into your Nusa Dua day
Mid-afternoon works well after a morning on the sand. Our Nusa Dua beaches guide covers where to spend it. Rain makes a good excuse for a 90-minute session, and our seasonal timing guide shows when showers are likely. Lily lists 9AM–9PM daily, which leaves room before a late flight. Confirm hours for other spas. A 2.5-hour couple package suits an evening, and dinner at one of the best Nusa Dua restaurants follows easily. After an active excursion, see our Day Trips From Nusa Dua: Best Options, Times & Logistics and book a 60-minute session on your return. A beach club day can also end with a foot massage.
Booking, payment and etiquette

WhatsApp booking is the norm among the four spas we reviewed. Zahra says it takes no deposit and you pay after treatment. Lily advertises free cancellation. Chi offers online booking as well as WhatsApp. Those are marketing claims, so ask for the cancellation window in writing. We found no sourced tipping guidance, so ask the spa. During the session, say early if pressure is too hard or too soft. Ask about draping and privacy when booking. If something feels wrong, end the session. Check with your doctor first if you are pregnant, injured or have a skin condition.
Mistakes to avoid
Three errors cost the most. Skipping shuttle terms can leave a solo traveler paying for a ride back. Booking on awards alone ignores recent low-scoring reviews. Scheduling deep tissue right after a sunburn is the third. Choose aroma or foot reflexology that day instead.
- Assuming a free shuttle covers one person both ways.
- Choosing a spa on a "#1" claim without reading recent reviews.
- Booking deep tissue straight after a sunburn.
- Skipping the nett-price question.
- Treating resort rates as known when no source lists them.
