Nusa Dua Beach Clubs: How to Choose, Costs & Access
Compare Nusa Dua beach clubs by vibe, access and budget. Resort-front vs standalone, family fit, and what to check before you go.
On this page
Last updated November 2026: Nusa Dua beach clubs are mostly resort-fronted spots with a pool, a restaurant and sand access. In our editorial assessment, they run calmer than the party venues in Canggu or Seminyak. This guide compares Canna Bali and the Novotel beach club on access, timing and cost, and it sits under our Nusa Dua things-to-do guide.

Short answer: what a Nusa Dua beach club is (and isn't)

A Nusa Dua beach club usually means a resort-linked pool, restaurant and beach frontage. It is not the all-night DJ model you may know from Canggu. Nusa Dua sits inside the ITDC complex, and Novotel's own address is Jalan Pantai Mengiat, ITDC Complex. For background on the enclave, see the ITDC Nusa Dua site. Expect hotel guests, families and couples more than late-night crowds. Canna Bali does list live music and DJs in the evening, so quiet is relative. If you are still deciding whether the area suits you, read whether Nusa Dua is worth visiting.
Quick comparison of Nusa Dua beach clubs
Two venues are evidenced well enough to compare here. Treat every cell as a prompt to verify, because the hotel page we drew on carries a 2023 copyright.
| Venue | Type | Non-guest access | Vibe | Best time | Verify |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Canna Bali | Standalone beachfront club | Confirm entry policy on cannabali.id | Pool, sand cabanas, four restaurants, evening music | Day into evening | Entry, minimum spend, pet policy |
| Novotel Nusa Dua Beach Club | Resort-front hotel club | Confirm with the hotel | Light meals, small and relaxed | Sunrise to late afternoon | Current hours, visitor access |
Resort-front vs standalone: how to choose
Resort-front clubs belong to a hotel. Novotel's page describes a hotel shuttle and a 30-seat restaurant, which reads as guest-oriented. Standalone clubs such as Canna Bali market themselves to visitors at large. Never assume non-guests are admitted at either type. Ask before you travel, and keep the answer in writing.
- Hotel guest: use your own resort's club first and confirm its hours.
- Not a guest: check the venue's site or message it about visitor access.
- Want a full day with several restaurants: look at a standalone club.
- Want a quiet drink by the sand: ask a hotel-linked club if it takes walk-ins.

Nusa Dua beach clubs worth knowing
Canna Bali lists its address as Jl. Raya Nusa Dua Selatan, Benoa, Kuta Selatan, Badung. Its own materials describe four dining spots: The Deck, The Cliff, The Lodge and Canna Sky. Novotel's beach club sits about 500 m from the hotel. Its page lists 30 seats and food from 12:00 to 17:30. We left out the Marriott's Bali Nusa Dua Gardens beach club because its page returned no usable content. Confirm it is operating before you plan around it.
- Canna Bali: pool, cabanas on the sand, canoeing and paddleboarding, poolside massage, evening bonfires, and a claimed pet-friendly policy.
- Canna Bali caveats: verify entry, minimum spend and booking on cannabali.id before you go.
- Novotel Nusa Dua Beach Club: burgers and chicken fajitas, cocktails, and an outlook over Nusa Dua Beach.
- Novotel caveats: small capacity, light menu, and hours that may have changed since 2023.

Costs and what you actually pay for
None of the pages we reviewed publish a price, so we quote none. Budget around cost types instead. Novotel lists a daily happy hour from 17:00 to 19:00, which is the one timing lever the sources confirm. Clubs elsewhere in Bali sometimes use minimum spends and fixed packages. Ask whether Nusa Dua venues do the same. Use the current menu or booking page for every figure. Free public sand remains the lowest-cost option, and our free things to do list covers it.
Happy hour runs 17:00 to 19:00 at the Novotel club, but its food is only served until 17:30.
- Entry: free or ticketed?
- Minimum spend: per person or per table?
- Daybed or cabana: flat fee or spend-based?
- Packages: fixed food and drink bundles?
- Happy hour: which hours, which drinks?
Getting there and getting back
Novotel says its beach club is about 500 m away. The hotel shuttle takes 2 minutes 28 seconds and runs every 15 minutes from 8:00 to 20:00. Walking takes 5 to 7 minutes. Those details are for hotel guests, so confirm them with the front desk. From outside the enclave, you will likely need a taxi or Grab. Our Nusa Dua transport guide covers the options. Arrange your return ride before dark, since the shuttle stops at 20:00.
Food at the Novotel club ends at 17:30, but the hotel shuttle runs until 20:00, so the gap is for drinks, not dinner.

Best time of day, season and sea conditions
Novotel frames its club around sunrise, with hours of 09:00 to 20:00. Canna Bali's page claims a sunset view over the Indian Ocean. Those are different claims, so check each venue's own wording and a map before you plan a sunset drink. For swimming, read our Nusa Dua beach comparison and ask staff about tide that day. Use BMKG weather forecasts for rain. In wetter months, our best time to visit guide helps you choose. A pool and restaurant day is a sensible rain fallback.
Which club for which traveler
Match the venue to your group before you book. Canna Bali's four restaurants give mixed groups room to split up. Novotel's 30 seats suit small parties better.

- Families: the standalone option with a pool and water sports; confirm child rules.
- Couples: a small hotel club at sunrise or during the 17:00 to 19:00 happy hour.
- Groups: ask about capacity and table booking first.
- Pet owners: Canna Bali claims pet-friendliness; verify before bringing an animal.
- Budget travelers: use public sand and skip minimum spends.
- Solo travelers: a daytime visit and a pre-arranged ride home.
Mistakes to avoid
Most problems come from assumptions. Novotel serves food from 12:00 to 17:30 but stays open until 20:00, so a late dinner there may not work.
- Assuming non-guests are admitted.
- Skipping booking for cabanas or daybeds.
- Ignoring tide and sea conditions.
- Mis-timing sunset against an east-facing outlook.
- Staying late with no ride arranged.
Plan the rest of your day
After a club day, book dinner through Nusa Dua restaurant picks. A post-beach treatment fits with Nusa Dua massage options. For drinks, see Nusa Dua Bars: Best Spots for Sunset Drinks & Cocktails. Realistic expectations help for the late hours, so read Nusa Dua Nightlife: Bars, Shows and Evening Options first. If you want Canggu, Seminyak or Uluwatu party clubs, go there instead.
