Sights in Nusa Penida: choose the stops that fit your day
Kelingking Beach draws the biggest crowds on Nusa Penida, and for good reason: the clifftop panorama shaped like a T-Rex is minutes from the car park. The rest of the west coast stacks up nearby, with Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong sitting side by side, while Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach pull visitors to the east coast instead.
Some stops cost little and others ask for cash at a booth. Kelingking charges 25,000 IDR entry with 5,000-10,000 IDR parking, Diamond Beach charges 35,000 IDR per person for the whole area, Crystal Bay charges 10,000 IDR, and Angel's Billabong asks 5,000 IDR plus parking. Only a few stops need no entry fee at all.
Timing shapes the day. Angel's Billabong works only at low tide, Diamond Beach loses most of its sand at high tide, and the stair climb back up from Atuh Beach in full sun takes it out of people. Most stops take an hour or two; the boat trip to Manta Point takes half a day.
Come early for the viewpoint stops, carry cash for parking, and treat the clifftop rims with care. The descent to Kelingking's sand is steep and best skipped after rain, and swimming at Diamond Beach isn't advised.

Diamond Beach Nusa Penida: Stairs, Views & What to Expect

Atuh Beach, Nusa Penida: How to Get There and What to Expect

Broken Beach Nusa Penida (Pasih Uug): Views, Access & Fees

Angel's Billabong, Nusa Penida: Natural Pool Visitor Guide

Manta Point Nusa Penida: Snorkel or Dive Guide for US Travelers
A manta cleaning station off Nusa Penida's southwest cliffs, reachable only by boat. Snorkelers and divers get close to reef mantas here, but southern swell can cancel trips, so book an operator that checks conditions daily.
half a day · shared snorkel boat from 500,000 IDR per person · Book ahead · Best for snorkelers and divers seeking mantas
What to reserve before you cross to Penida
Most of Nusa Penida's sights need no booking: Kelingking Beach, Diamond Beach, Crystal Bay and Angel's Billabong are open land or paid at the gate, and Broken Beach and Atuh Beach have no reservation system to worry about. Cash matters more than reservations, since parking and entry are paid on the spot.
The exception is Manta Point. The manta cleaning station off the southwest cliffs is reachable only by boat, and shared snorkel trips start from 500,000 IDR per person. Southern swell can cancel trips, so choose an operator that checks conditions daily and confirm before you commit a half-day to the water.
One day on Penida: where to start
With a single day, start at Kelingking Beach for the clifftop panorama before the car park fills, then take the short walk to Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong, which share the west coast. Check the tide first: Angel's Billabong's calm pool only appears at low tide.
If you would rather chase the east coast, Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach pair naturally, both reached by steep stairways below clifftop parking. Diamond Beach charges 35,000 IDR per person for the whole area and gives you the most photogenic cliffs; arrive at low tide to see the sand.
