Last updated November 2026: Bali brunch means two different meals. One is an everyday cafe plate of pancakes, bowls and coffee. The other is a Saturday or Sunday resort feast with pool access, and the right choice depends on your budget, your day and where you are staying.

Quick answer: which Bali brunch fits you

Pick a cafe if you want a daily meal under a modest budget and no fixed schedule. Pick a resort buffet if you want a long weekend afternoon with a pool, live music and free-flow drinks. For dinner-focused plans, start with our guide to the 10 Best Restaurants in Bali: Where to Eat by Area.
- Cafe brunch: Canggu, Pererenan, Legian and Seminyak, any day of the week.
- Resort buffet: Nusa Dua, Seminyak, Sanur, Kuta and Ungasan, usually one day a week.
- Experience brunch: the Bali Zoo capybara session, booked by time slot.

Best Bali brunch by area

Brunch Club Bali runs all-day cafes on Jl. Raya Legian in Legian and Jl. Pantai Pererenan in Pererenan. Its Berawa site was listed as reopening in mid 2026, so check that before you head there. From our notes, Canggu cafes such as Crate Cafe and Pretty Poison also suit a daily brunch. In Seminyak and Petitenget, Revolver and Sisterfields on Jl. Kayu Cina are the cafe picks. Motel Mexicola is a dinner stop, so skip it for brunch. Ubud suits a slower plan, with Clear Cafe and Kafe as starting points. Browse more in our Bali cafe guide. For resort buffets, Nusa Dua has Cucina at Sofitel and Kayuputi at The St. Regis. Seminyak has Starfish Bloo at W Bali and Seasalt at Alila. Sanur has Arunika at The Meru, and Kuta has Daily Social at Sheraton. Ungasan has Waatu. Seafood fans should also read our Bali seafood guide. Traffic between areas can be slow, so pick one area per brunch day.
What Bali brunch costs and what the price includes

Resort prices in March 2026 reporting ran from IDR 500,000++ to IDR 1,650,000 nett per person. Daily Social at Sheraton Bali Kuta listed IDR 550,000++, with an alcohol package at IDR 375,000++. Arunika at The Meru Sanur listed IDR 500,000++ without alcohol and IDR 1,000,000++ with it. Seasalt at Alila Seminyak started from IDR 650,000++. Kayuputi listed IDR 1,250,000 nett on Saturday and IDR 1,650,000 nett on Sunday. A ++ price adds tax and service on top, so your final bill is higher than the menu number. Nett prices already include them. Ask which one applies before you book.
Pala's listed price is IDR 798,000++, with children 6-12 at IDR 400,000++, so a family budget needs both figures.
- Pala at The Apurva Kempinski: IDR 798,000++, children 6-12 at IDR 400,000++, under 6 free.
- Bali Zoo capybara brunch: IDR 750,000 per adult and IDR 525,000 per child, including one meal, one drink and zoo admission.
- Cucina at Sofitel: from IDR 888,000++, with free-flow non-alcoholic drinks, pool access and live music.
When to go and how to book
Most resort brunches run on one day only, so choose your day first. Waatu runs Saturday 11 AM to 4 PM with a two-hour dining window. Cucina runs Sunday 11 AM to 3 PM, with Seaside Delight until 5 PM. Starfish Bloo and Daily Social run Sunday 12 PM to 3.30 PM. Bali Zoo offers sessions at 9.30 AM to 11 AM and 11 AM to 12.30 PM. Book weekend slots ahead, and confirm each venue's policy by phone or its official site.
Waatu runs Saturday 11 AM to 4 PM, an hour longer than Kayuputi's 11 AM to 3 PM, so it suits a later start.
| Your day | Best fit | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Saturday | Waatu, Kayuputi | Kayuputi runs 11 AM to 3 PM |
| Sunday | Cucina, Starfish Bloo, Arunika, Seasalt, Pala, Daily Social | Most buffets cluster here |
| Any weekday | Cafes, Bali Zoo sessions | Cafes need no fixed slot |

Planning around the rest of your day
A buffet that starts at 11 AM or 12 PM and ends near 3.30 PM replaces lunch and often dinner. Do not stack it with an early tour. A morning class at a Bali Cooking Class Guide: How to Choose the Right One may clash with an 11 AM start. Pick one or the other. Resorts add pool access, a beach bar or play areas, so bring swimwear. Pala also lists a 60-metre pool and kids' play pools. For a cheaper local lunch afterward, look at a Bali Warung Guide: What to Eat & How to Order or a babi guling stop. Vegetarian readers can browse vegan food in Bali instead of buffets.
Mistakes to avoid
Skip these common errors when you plan a Bali brunch.
- Arriving without a reservation on a weekend.
- Ignoring ++ tax and service when you compare prices.
- Turning up on the wrong day for a one-day-a-week buffet.
- Choosing an area far from your hotel and losing time in traffic.
- Assuming a long buffet suits young kids. Daily Social, Pala and Arunika list family formats, so check child pricing first.
