Lombok Beach Clubs: Where to Go, Costs and How to Choose

The quick version

Compare Lombok beach clubs in Senggigi, Gili Air and Kuta: how entry and day passes work, how to get there, and which vibe suits you.

Last updated November 2026: Lombok beach clubs are mostly a Senggigi and west-coast scene, with a few alternatives on Gili Air and around Kuta and Mandalika. Expect a small, relaxed scene next to Bali's, and several "clubs" are really beachfront bars with beanbags. Choose by area, vibe and cost model, then confirm hours and fees with the venue before you go.

Quick answer: which Lombok beach club should you choose?

Start with your base, because transport decides more than the venue does. Senggigi has the densest cluster, with Jalan Raya Senggigi Km 31 as the key address. Gili Air needs a boat, and the Mandalika stretch needs a driver or scooter. Use this pick-by-situation list to narrow it down.

Good to know

Bale Solah and Verve both list Jalan Raya Senggigi Km 31, so confirm whether they are one complex before booking both.

  • Pool day: Beach Club Lombok by Bale Solah in Senggigi, which reportedly has an infinity pool, day beds and cabanas.
  • Sunset drinks: La Chill Bar & Restaurant in Batu Layar, with beanbags on the sand and free entry.
  • Party or DJ night: Verve Beach Club in Senggigi, if it is confirmed as a separate venue.
  • Quiet and off-grid: Papaya Restaurant & Beach Club or SWGA Scallywags on Gili Air.
  • Day trip: Gili Air by boat, planned around the return crossing.
  • South coast: Mandalika Beach Club, only after you confirm it is open and accessible.

How Lombok beach clubs work: entry, day passes and minimum spend

Three cost models cover almost every venue. Some places charge no entry and expect you to order food and drinks. Others sell a day pass that is redeemable against your bill, or set a minimum spend. A third group reserves pool and lounger access for hotel guests. One competitor reports a Senggigi day pass of about Rp100,000–200,000, redeemable on food and drink. Treat that as a reported range, not a quote, and confirm it with the venue. Before you go, message the venue and ask four things: is entry free, is a pass redeemable, what is the minimum spend, and do non-guests get pool access? Ask about opening hours and alcohol service in the same message. Official pages and verified social accounts beat third-party blogs and reels for current rules.

Beach clubs in Senggigi and Batu Layar

Senggigi is the easiest base for a first beach club afternoon. Beach Club Lombok by Bale Solah sits at Jalan Raya Senggigi Km 31, reportedly about a 3-minute walk from Senggigi Beach. Reported facilities include an infinity pool, day beds, cabanas, a restaurant and bar, and parking. Hotel guests reportedly get free access, and day visitors may pay a redeemable pass. Confirm hours, since pool access for day visitors may be limited to part of the day. Verve Beach Club is listed at the same Km 31 address, with a private pool, king-size sunbeds and DJs. Sources disagree on whether Verve is a separate venue or part of the Bale Solah complex. Call before planning a party night around it. La Chill Bar & Restaurant in Batu Layar is the casual option. It is listed just south of the main Senggigi strip, with free entry, beanbags on the sand and a sunset focus. One source reports 08:00–23:00, with live music on some evenings. Confirm both with the venue. If you want a full evening out, our guide to Lombok Nightlife Guide: Bars, Beach Clubs & Getting Home covers what else is open after dark.

Beach clubs on Gili Air

Gili Air is a boat trip, so treat it as a day out rather than an afternoon drop-in. Competitors name Bangsal Harbor as the departure point. Check boat times and fares with the operator, because this brief has no verified schedule. Our Lombok ferry guide explains the crossing options. For harbor and ferry information, start with the ASDP Indonesia Ferry site. Papaya Restaurant & Beach Club is listed with free entry, beanbags on the sand and reported hours of noon–23:00. Card payments may carry a surcharge, so bring cash. SWGA Scallywags Beach Club is resort-linked, with a pool and water sports. Fees are reported as often free with a purchase. Confirm pool access rules and current operating status before you cross. If Gili Air is the main goal, see how it fits into other Day Trips From Lombok: Gilis, Pink Beach, Waterfalls. Leave a buffer so you are not racing the last return boat at sunset.

Tip

Papaya lists noon–23:00, but the last return crossing, not the bar, sets when a Gili Air day should end.

Mandalika and the south coast

Mandalika Beach Club near Kuta is the least certain entry here. Sources describe it as modern, with pools and event spaces, but fees, hours and access are all unconfirmed. Verify that it exists, is open and admits non-guests before you plan a day around it. Look for current information from Mandalika or ITDC channels. If it falls through, the south coast still works for a beach day without a club. Our Lombok beaches guide covers swimming and surf conditions around Kuta. Getting between south-coast spots is easiest by scooter rental in Lombok or a hired driver. Surf-focused readers can check Lombok surf breaks before choosing a base.

When to go and how to get there

Late afternoon suits any west-facing beach spot, so aim to arrive before sunset and stay through it. Check sunset times for your date rather than trusting a fixed hour. Season matters too, since rain can cancel a sunset session. Our Best Time to Visit Lombok: Month-by-Month Guide by Goal guide covers the dry months. For wet weather, read about the Lombok Rainy Season: Months, Weather & What to Do. Forecasts are available from Indonesia's BMKG weather agency. For arrivals, see the Lombok airport guide. Transfers to Senggigi and the wider routes are in How to Get to Lombok: Flights, Fast Boats & Ferry from Bali (2026). Senggigi and Batu Layar sit on the west coast, while Kuta and Mandalika are in the south, so do not combine them in one day. Pair a club afternoon with dinner using our picks for the 12 Best Restaurants in Lombok: Where to Eat by Area (2026).

Mistakes to avoid at Lombok beach clubs

Sponsored

Do not assume every club has a pool. La Chill and Papaya are beachfront bars with beanbags. Do not turn up without checking day-pass rules, since a redeemable pass and a flat fee are very different deals. Do not ignore boat timing on Gili Air, because a missed return crossing ruins the evening. Do not skip etiquette. Lombok is a predominantly Muslim island, so confirm each venue's alcohol availability and dress expectations rather than assuming Bali-style norms. For other ideas around the island, return to our 8 Best Things to Do in Lombok, Organized by Area guide.
